ABOUT US

Our training courses started from our interest in our own dogs and our experiences with our dogs over the years that we’ve lived with them.

Family and friends then started to ask for our advice and opinion in training their own dogs and some suggested that we should set-up some training courses to help other dog owners.

Whilst we do also have some recognised and formal training (and even some rosettes and awards), the main basis for our training courses remains our own experiences and our approach to dog ownership.  Each of our trainers has owned many dogs, giving all of us a range of experience having seen different dogs develop and behave in very different situations.

But we also share an ethos to dog ownership - that we like to see both dog and owner happy in each other’s company, understanding how each other works and the sort of behaviour that is expected.

For everyone’s peace of mind, our trainers are all covered by full public liability and professional indemnity insurance.

Here’s Sue receiving here KCAI award from the Kennel Club at Crufts earlier this year.

At the time of the award, Sue was only the second person, in the whole of the UK, to have been awarded the rather coveted KACI accreditation in both Companion Dog and Competitive Agility categories - reflecting the training work that we really focus on at Suffolk Dog Training.

Well done Sue!
